This article is about the covering and reopening of the Aarhus A river in Aarhus/Denmark. The decision for this river to be covered was taken by the city council in the year 1930. The reason for this purpose were the increasing traffic and disease vectors. In 1930 it became a fundametal decision, to reopening the river. The city became a more attractive, urban environment with a car-free city center. with the completion of works the flow of the river became an open, continuous line again.
