Migrantenunternehmen als Jobmotor in Deutschland
Magdalena Hohaus, Wintersemester 2019/2020

People with a migrant background contribute significantly to the diversity and economic strength of Germany’s labor market. The survey “Migrant Entrepreneurs in Germany from 2005 to 2014” organized by Bertelsmann Stiftung shows their reach, economic impact and influence in Germany. It displays a lot of insights such as how the percentage of the self-employed among this group has grown, how the number of jobs created by entrepreneurs with a migrant background has grown rapidly in the last years and how the economy and societal integration of self-employeds with a migrant background could be increased.
