This presantaion tries to give an overview about the decades of creating large settlements near the city. From Berlin to Munich, from Warsaw to Bratislava, these huge new settlements are placed at the peripherique of the inner city. After the Second World War the pressure of generating new and quick housing estates was very high.  So both sides of the curtain wall decided to built these satellite towns. But where are the differences in the social and culturel meaning of it. How do people from eastern and western Europe come along with this kind of living?
