In the middle of the fifties, Riace, a small village in Calabria, was suffering from many people leaving the town behind and starting a new life elsewhere. But when a boat full of Kurdish refugees landed at the beach the remaining population took the chance to establish a new comunity. This unique form of cohabit and coworking of members from many different cultures soon aroused international interest and support. But a political change in 2018 immediately stopped the project.
