Teiggi-Areal/Luzern
The Teiggi project features the conversion of an area of mixed and partly industrial use, to a modern living quarter for multiple generation residents. By keeping the essential parts of the existing structures and only slightly adding new buildings, the characteristic of the quarter is kept, aiming for a mixed use of working and living.
The project was realised by a cooperative building society (Wohnwerk Luzern), integrating the future residents into the planning process and therefore encouraging a responsible and sustainable execution.
Wakkerpreis
The Wakkerpreis is an urban-planning award by the Schweizer Heimatschutz, called out once a year in switzerland.
It is rewarding projects for modern, sustainable, carefully integrated urbanism and endowed with 20.000 CHF.
